On Valentines Day we walked into the Chico Cancer Center and sang for about fifteen patients who were receiving chemotherapy while closely attended by the staff and many family members. As we sang our songs, and an extra two, the mental shift in the cancer patients was actually visible. For just a little while I think we brought the real spirit of the day to these folks who had lots of other things on their minds.

As we left, the nurse supervisor asked "Did you see their faces while you were singing?" We did.

If there is better way to spread the love of music and enjoy this hobby to your bones, I can't imagine what it would be.
